SIL Bridge

Today we discussed among us then we found the title of our project "SIL Bridge".

It will help to students who are in university/institutes during their project idea selection and  
searching jobs.

Problems of students who are in IT field  during their project idea selection and  
searching jobs. 

•  Selecting a suitable idea for their projects
•  Selecting the suitable lecturer(mentor) to work out that idea
•  Which areas will help to higher studies
• Finishing the project with in the academic period
• technology barrier

Problems of IT industries

• Selecting intelligent students to give internship/training
• Develop their marketing
• Selecting employees
• spending more cost to select the employees

We found that there is no existing system to connect students & industries to solve above problems.So we think that this system will help to industries & students to solve their problems.

So our system will make a good relationship between students and industries when act as a bridge to connect students and industries.

Searching......................

Our previous idea has some issues. So we decide to change our idea.
We all together discussed about what are fields not involve in IT until now. We were search in all the fields like arts, science, management, engineering, electricity and so on.

Finally we find one of the problem about relationship between university/institute IT(computer science,MIT,ICT,IT..etc) students and industries.
Nowadays university/institute students don't know about industries and don't know what is going on industry until they go to internship.
In industry view some time customers don't know about some company.

So we find a solution for this. In our system will make a good relationship between students, lectures and industries.

New idea

New idea

Our new idea is TOURIST PATH OPTIMIZER .I think all of you know many tourist guider applications in  i phones or android phones .But we may thing our idea is different from those previous ones.We plane to include some features to optimize the path of the tourist places found in SriLanka. I thing now all of you have a question "what do you mean by path optimizer?"

We know most of the tourist have some restrictions based on time or cost. They like to visit all popular places in SriLanka between the time limit(like 4 days).At this time they need to know what are the places near for us then they select a particular place based on the shortest path technique,but that particular place contain some other popular places and also we have so many path options to  visit those places.Our system provide a shortest path according to their time limit that means it suggest which path is more suitable to visit those places in between the time limit.It is based on GPS technology.

Our bus tracking idea have some issues. According to our mentor suggestions we decide to change our idea. Now we are searching some brainstorm ideas.

For this Geek Challenge competition our group members search and suggest more ideas and then we discuss our friends .Finally we got this idea from our friends who came by bus.

In our day to day life we faced many problems or work stress .If we consider the parents who are workers  they faced some difficulties If the school bus arrived at correct time. Similarly they got mind trouble if that school bus dropped their children at that correct time. Then they started to worry about their child  

Many  buses provide school service to pickup and drop the students.We can think of an application that is mobile and a web based for managing the  problems faced by that students' parents

This can send SMS message 10 minutes before the arrival of bus at their pickup point and also it send 10 minutes advanced arrival of the bus at drop point to the parents.And also It can sen message if some unwanted incidents happened like accident,breakdown or kidnapped by some one.This all control handle by the bus controller.We plane to develop only for a particular school bus
